ALBATROSS - Advancing knowledge for Long-term Benefits and Climate Adaptation through holistic Climate Services and Nature-based Solution

Project duration: 03/2024 to 08/2027

The main objective of ALBATROSS is to strengthen climate resilience in different Sub-Saharan African countries. This involves multiple actions supporting the implementation of climate adaptation plans and measures through advanced understanding of complex dynamics between climate-ecosystem-society and multiple vulnerability dimensions.

The knowledge on these dynamics will be:

  1. translated into guidelines and policy recommendations;
  2. integrated into customised climate services and decision-making relevant tools; and
  3. implemented for co-designing adaptation measures, particularly NBS, targeted  to the specific needs and vulnerabilities of the local communities.
